I know, isn't it ridiculous?! But they are ALL THAT BIG! Like, let's bath the baby and wash the dishes all at once!

I should say though, they don't fill the sink with water to wash the dishes. They wash under running water.

Ooh yeah I feel like there's two schools of thought on how to wash dishes... My apt sink can't even fit a whole pot XD

Haha! Typical modern Aussie style! So long as it comes with a dishwasher!!

Oh see, that would be smart! I use the dishwasher to store said pan.

I much prefer the NZ or Aussie custom built way. Our kitchen has a white instead of black tabletop because of the arbitrary rules of the place we bought our kitchen from. We had a choice of like 8 different tile patterns, none of which I liked, and we also found that a corner pantry, the likes of which you can get for under $1,000 in NZ, is non-existent in Japan, barring a very expensive custom build. That’s why all the kitchens here are either ‘I’ or ‘L’ shaped, never a ‘U’ that we wanted! We have an incomplete U at the moment, just waiting for a builder friend to make the time to complete the pantry I mentioned. We got an island from IKEA and it’s perfect :)

Your Japanese kitchen experience doesn't surprise me! I feel your pain! Hope you get the U finished soon!

Great to hear about the Ikea win, will keep that in mind! Thanks!

Thank you Yasmin 😊 it is very interesting learning how different cultures and countries do things. I find it insightful to the culture to see where priorities lie!

Practicality has to come first for me... aesthetics second. So the mismatch thing that you have going on is definitely appealing. 😊

Hehe! Just know, the mismatch is most definitely NOT a Japanese thing. 😂
