That quake must have been so scary! The kids did a great job getting their emergency backpack ready! And I was not expecting that T-shirt to pop up in this post! What a rollercoaster.

I wonder how you felt sharing this January 2024 essay as we approach November. I'm intrigued to learn what happens next and how writing it feels to you now. There are several compounding issues for you.

That's interesting to hear that you felt nauseous from the quake. I've never experienced "quake sickness," even though just a minute on a bus is enough to make me car sick. Maybe it's because of the environment we grew up in?
